If you are looking to spend a beer-ful time in the city, there is many of places to choose from. From well-known places like Riegrovy Sady over to Letna’s Beer Garden and some hidden, lovely spots in the city. We went scouting for the most beautiful places without – or only short – queues and magical atmosphere. Mirror, mirror on the wall, where is the best beer spot of them all?

Parukářka

Riegrovy Sady’s less frequented brother. While Riegrovy has a castle view, visitors in Parukářka enjoy overlooking the TV Tower and the skyline of Prague. Besides, there is way less people enjoying the summer sun in the park, which makes it easy to find a cozy spot to settle down. Of course, draft beer is never far away in Prague – and you can get your pint from Hospůdka Parukářka at the foot of the hill – or bring your own, of course. There is BBQ pits at the top of the hill, which makes the park a wonderful spot for a Saturday afternoon gathering with beer and ribs.

If you happen to be in town in June, you should definitely not miss out on the annual Žižkovské pivobraní in Parukářka. Try lovingly brewed beer of over 40 microbreweries in the Republic while enjoying the view and vibe in the park!

U Vystřelenýho oka

When going on a Sunday walk, thirst builds in one or another throat. Choosing your Sunday walk wisely is therefore critical. Why not visit Vítkov’s park and meander down a green pathway from the Vítkov monument down to the main train station? As you follow the walkway towards the main train station, you will surpass a restaurant called “U Vystřelenýho oka” And yes, it is well worth sitting down. Their wooden patio beckons you to sit down and clench your thirst on a freshly draught Pilsner!

Viniční altán

A beautiful park, a magical palace and a winery – all in one place! Havličkovy Sady is a wonderful place for a Sunday walk and a beer in the glistening sun. Alright, Viniční Altán is a winery – but they also pour Staropramen fresh from the tap! And the view over Prague from the wooden pavilion is just unbeatable! Lounging on the outer foot of Havličkovy Sady, enjoying a beer – or one of their wonderful wines – almost catapults you into a distant wonderland.

Zahrádky Žižkov

Time for Žižkov‘s jewel: Zahrádky Žižkov is one of our favourite places to enjoy our beer. With a tank straight from the Staropramen Brewery in Smichov attached, the beer the guys pour somehow just tastes way better; fresh, sparkling and hoppy.

They also screen football and ice hockey games with their projector and there is plenty of space to sit. Enjoying a freshly draught pint in Žižkov‘s Garden feels home-y, as if one was sitting in his very own garden – with lots of friendly strangers around. Definitely a neighbourhood kind of place you will enjoy being at.

He, who drinks must eat, and you can do exactly that on the premises, too. Sausages, Grilled Cheese and Ice Cream are just a few meters away from the beer tap.
