In the main square of Prague’s Lesser Town, you can see a new and interesting exhibition of photographs and paintings by two renowned contemporary Czech artists, until the end of September. It takes place in the famous historical building in the “Malostranské náměstí”, known to all Prague inhabitants as “Malostranská beseda”.

The exhibition introduces photographs of Jakub Ludvík and paintings by Romana Schmitt (a.k.a “ROSCH”). The introduction of a project connecting the worlds of photographs and paintings is part of the exposition, showing the artistic efforts of Romana Schmitt to transpose the atmosphere and emotions of Jakub Ludvík’s photographs onto her paintings.

The exhibition is taking place from the 6th of September till the 30th of September and opens daily from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Apart from these, one can also see independently created paintings of Romana Schmitt, which charm with their dreamy atmosphere, soft and precise details, and original combinations of colours. The topics are flowers, grass, moments after the rain, pure love, harmony, and metamorphosis.

Malostranská beseda has always been the right place for avant-garde and good quality art, thus helping it stand out the right way,” the Prague 1 major Oldřich Lomecký, who launched the exhibition personally, said. “And that is also the case of the current exhibition of Jakub Ludvík and his Amazonia-themed photographs and paintings of Romana Schmitt, inspired by the photographs and also those independently created.”

The exhibition is taking place from the 6th of September till the 30th of September. It is available daily from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the regular entrance fee is 50,- CZK.
