But what if we told you, there is more than just the big, well known galleries? What if we told you, there are so many more places where you can find art in this wonderful city? And what if you could marvel at local artists’ work?

In our new series ‘ARTSPOTTING’ we explore alternative and vibrant places around Prague that display art, give local artists a platform and even let you make your own! Today we are diving into Prague 7 and the place that ‘contains’ it all…

Get excited for Letna’s most vibrant art and Culture Center. The Stalin gallery gives local and young artist a platform where they can experience, make and marvel at artwork. Under the warming sun, under the big pendulum, every summer the Monument festival is opening its arms for all kinds of talents that are ready to present, perform or just look at pieces of others!

Always something going on: Containall

Monument’s main focus lies in showcasing live projects of Prague’s music scene, latest trends of the local electronic music but also presents documentaries and feature films from both Czech and foreign producers! But Monument did not stop there! With sport events and workshops, Monument has to offer something for anyone. 

A typical week at Stalin gallery starts with live concerts on Wednesdays and gives you a reason to go out on a Thursday with its summer cinema. It is the place to be on Friday and Saturday, when electro sound is blasting through the high-end audio system of Monument. Sunday then is devoted to learning and experiencing and holds space for workshops, siestas and climbing! The best part about this wonderful organization? All of the programs are completely free!
