Good news for Prague commuters – tram service has returned to the important section between Vystaviste and Nadrazi Holesovice earlier than planned. Thanks to accelerated work on the reconstruction of the tram tracks in U Vystaviste street, trams started running again from the night of September 30 to October 1, a full ten days ahead of schedule.
Which tram lines are back on track
- Tram line 17 is once again heading all the way to Kobylisy.
- Tram lines 1 and 25 are back in the Vystaviste loop.
- Tram lines 6 and 14 now swap line numbers on their way to Nadrazi Holesovice.
- Night tram 93 has also returned to its regular route through Holesovice.
Roadworks still ongoing
While trams are now rolling through this section, the work in the area is not completely finished. Road and sidewalk reconstruction continues, so drivers and pedestrians should remain cautious and follow temporary traffic signs.
The reopening of tram service between Vystaviste and Nadrazi Holesovice brings much-needed relief to public transport users in Prague 7. The early completion of the track repairs shows effective coordination between the Prague Public Transit Company and the city, although the surrounding roadworks remind everyone that patience is still required.
