Prague is offering a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to step behind the scenes of the city’s most ambitious transport project: Metro D. From May 17 to 19, 2025, the construction sites of the new metro line will open their doors to the public, providing a rare chance to explore both underground and surface areas of the future Metro D.
Go Underground: Guided Tour of Olbrachtova and Pankrac D Stations
For those fascinated by engineering and urban development, the highlight of the event is an exclusive underground tour. Visitors will descend approximately 30 meters below ground via a temporary staircase (about 150 steps) at the future Olbrachtova station. The guided route leads through the left station tunnel, technological tunnels, and connecting passages, offering a close look at the construction process.

The tour continues through the single-track tunnel to the future Pankrac D station, where you’ll see the impressive split of the double-track tunnel, the deepest point of the station (about 40 meters below the surface), and the turnaround tunnel. Along the way, you’ll discover technical details, construction machinery, and the ambitious scale of the project.
