When you are looking for a nice place to stay in Prague you have the following options:
It’s fair to say to go with the hotel if you like to be being taken care of, and Airbnb if you are more an “adventurer”.PRICE COMPARISON When it comes to price the Airbnb starts at $50 per night for 2 guests, private apartments at $100, and nice hotels are available for $150. All of these are located in the center of the city. OUR TIP #1 We still prefer using Airbnb because you will experience the city from a totally different perspective to the local one.
For each we have put together a useful guide, including a list of the top 10 properties in the city. In general, finding a place in Prague is extremely easy as there are lot of options for a decent prices.OUR TIP #2 Regardless of the type of property you will be staying in, we totally recommend the following locations (all lie within walking distance of major tourist spots):
- Old Town (Stare Mesto), Prague 1 – downtown, walking distance from the major tourist spots
- Lesser Town (Mala Strana), Prague 1 – downtown, walking distance from the major tourist spots
- Wenceslas Square (Vaclavske Namesti), Prague 1 – downtown, walking distance from the major tourist spots
- Vinohrady, Prague 2 – hiptown with lot of cafes, nice bars and vibrant atmosphere and yet next to the downtown
It really depends on whether you are looking for a hotel including all the services (breakfast, gym, reception), or a cozy private apartment. Both are beautiful and stunning.
We also recommend not to stay in the large hotel chains as you would be accompanied by many other tourists.
