In the main square of Prague’s Lesser Town, you can see a new and interesting exhibition of photographs and paintings by two renowned contemporary Czech artists, until the end of September. It takes place in the famous historical building in the “Malostranské náměstí”, known to all Prague inhabitants as “Malostranská beseda”. It’s not so long since Uber in Prague got cheaper by 13%, to 11 CZK per kilometer. After just a few months it is going cheaper yet again! And this time for 15% – making the price per kilometer only 9.90 CZK which is really low (around $0.40). The price per minute has also gone down from 4 CZK to 3 CZK, so Uber is now by far the cheapest option to travel by taxi in Prague. Over short distances it’s even comparable with public transport. Starting at the beginning of the next year, Prague citizens and visitors will have the possibility to connect to Wi-Fi free of charge, for example in the Botanical Gardens or Zoo. The first outside gallery was launched in Prague last week. Thus, since 11 August 2016, the Czech Republic’s capital now offers yet another interesting attraction to all visitors. The experimental space, called LumiVerse, will introduce various kinds of art free of charge. The LumiVerse project is situated on “Milady Horáková” street in Prague 7. The Slav Epic (“Slovanská epopej” in Czech), a very famous cycle of paintings by the equally renowned Czech Art Nouveau painter Alfons Mucha, might finally have appropriate premises in which to be displayed. Prague 1 representatives have offered a lucrative site in the centre on which to build a pavilion. This year, nine hundred animals have already been born in the Prague Zoo. The most recent ones, four gecko babies, are literally a wonder. These four miraculous reptiles helped to bring variety to the Zoo’s population, together with, for example, a baby giraffe, young vultures, a gorilla cub, and an elephant calf.
